Our annual Fox Trot 5K will be on August 1st, 2026. Registration is live now on runsignup.com. Participants can walk, run, or jog the event. Registered Participants will receive a dri fit t-shirt. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age group and gender. If you are interested in joining us please visit runsignup.com to register. Last year we had nearly 200 participants and a lot of fun was had by all involved. I hope that you will join us for this community event.

Congratulations to Jaden Atkinson on a terrific season. At the conclusion of the regular season Jaden was selected to play in the North/South Game for the AAAA team. Jaden was one of the offensive leaders during the season leading the team in batting average and runs scored.

Congratulations to Myah Harvey on an excellent senior season. After the regular season Myah was selected to the AAAA All-State Team and was also selected to play in the North-South Game representing AAAA. On the season Myah led the Red Foxes offnsively in batting average, Hits, Triples, Home Runs, and RBI. She had had a great High School career and will continue to play at Wafford next year.

Congratulations to Brandon Anderson on a terrific season. At the end of the regular season Brandon was selected to the AAAA All-State team and also has been selected to play in the North/South game. Brandon was electric on the mound this season leading the Foxes in innings pitched, wins and strikeouts. He also had very good offensive numbers and was a leader in the outfield.

Hartsville’s season will come down to one final game after Airport evened the Lower State Championship series with a 9-7 win Thursday night at Airport High School. The decisive Game 3 is set for Saturday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m. Despite pounding out 12 hits, the Red Foxes were unable to hold off Airport’s late rally. Hartsville battled back from an early deficit and grabbed a 5-3 lead in the fourth inning behind RBI efforts from Jaden Atkinson, Brandon Anderson, and Bryce Oliver. Airport answered in the bottom half of the inning and broke the game open with four runs in the fifth. Bryceson McElveen led Hartsville at the plate with three hits, while Anderson and Oliver each drove in two runs. Caleb Lloyd, Luke Holloman, and Ford Wallace also recorded multiple hits for the Red Foxes. Atkinson struck out four over four innings on the mound, while Wallace worked in relief. Hartsville will now look to bounce back Saturday with a trip to the state championship series on the line.

The Hartsville Red Foxes opened the Lower State Final with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Airport in Game 1 of the best-of-three series Tuesday night. In a tight pitcher’s duel, Hartsville leaned on a complete-game performance from Brandon Anderson, who allowed just three hits and one unearned run over seven innings while striking out three to earn the win. Airport broke a scoreless tie in the fifth inning, but the Red Foxes answered in dramatic fashion in the bottom of the sixth. Bryce Segars delivered the decisive blow with a two-run home run to left field, giving Hartsville the lead for good. Segars paced the offense by going 2-for-3 with two RBIs, while Anderson shut the door in the seventh to secure the Game 1 win. Trailing late, Hartsville rallied in the bottom of the seventh inning to secure the victory. Ford Wallace delivered an RBI single down the left field line before Brandon Anderson drew a bases-loaded walk to tie the game. South Aiken scored both of its runs in the third inning, but Hartsville answered late. Terriney Thompson tied the game in the sixth with an RBI single before Harvey’s heroics in the seventh sealed the victory. Hannah Amerson went the distance in the circle, allowing just three hits and no earned runs while striking out seven. Luke Holloman led Hartsville offensively with four hits and also delivered a strong effort on the mound, tossing 9.2 scoreless innings in relief while striking out five. Bryce Oliver added five strikeouts over five innings in the start, and Hartsville pitchers combined for 10 strikeouts overall. The Red Foxes finished with 11 hits and worked six walks, with Oliver and Brandon Anderson drawing two free passes each. Hartsville also turned a double play defensively in the loss.

Hartsville punched its ticket to the next round of the playoffs Saturday with a thrilling 3-2 overtime win over Wilson Tigers. The Red Foxes now advance to face Gray Collegiate War Eagles on Wednesday. Wilson struck first in the 12th minute to take a 1-0 lead, but Hartsville answered when Edwin Ramos scored off an assist from Boyd Tiller to even the match at 1-1. Wilson regained the advantage in the 34th minute and carried a 2-1 lead into halftime. Hartsville came out strong in the second half as Ramos delivered again, curling in a free kick in the 49th minute to tie the match at 2-2. The score remained even through the end of regulation before Walt Truett provided the heroics in overtime, blasting in the game-winner from 25 yards out in the 97th minute to send the Red Foxes through.

On Friday, the Hartsville boys and girls track & field teams went to battle with nine other teams in the 4A district qualifier to determine who would advance to the 4A state finals. 36 Red Foxes have advanced to the final round and will compete for a state title on Thursday 5/14/2026 at Richland Northeast High School. North Augusta took control early with a four-run first inning and added to the lead throughout the game. Carley Penvose highlighted the Yellow Jackets’ offense with a two-run home run in the third inning. EmmaKate Hudson and Abbey Byrd recorded the only hits for Hartsville, while the Red Foxes also turned a double play defensively. Hannah Amerson took the loss in the circle for Hartsville. The Red Foxes struck first in the 12th minute when Boyd Tiller broke free on a breakaway and finished for a 1-0 lead. Hartsville doubled the advantage in the 27th minute after Oliver Rocha created a turnover and found the back of the net to make it 2-0. South Florence answered quickly, converting a penalty kick in the 30th minute after a Hartsville foul in the box to cut the deficit to 2-1 heading into halftime. The Bruins tied the match in the second half on another penalty kick following a Hartsville hand ball in the box. With the game deadlocked late, the Red Foxes earned a penalty kick of their own, and Edwin Ramos calmly converted in the 75th minute to give Hartsville a 3-2 lead.
