HARTSVILLE — Hartsville’s boys basketball team put the game away early, opening on a 26–0 run and cruising to a 71–38 win over Manning on Tuesday night at home.
The Red Foxes did not allow a Manning basket until the final 19 seconds of the first quarter and jumped out to a commanding 28–3 lead after one period. Hartsville continued to control the tempo in the second quarter, extending the margin to 46–13 by halftime.
With balanced scoring and steady defensive pressure, the Foxes pushed the lead to 59–30 at the end of the third quarter before closing out the contest in the fourth
Kayson Dawson led Hartsville with 18 points, while Tristian Spann added 17. Zaries Huggins chipped in eight points, and Darren Gattison scored six. CJ Hickmon and Ziyon Mason finished with five points apiece, Eli Lynch added four, and Dorian Mason, Jaymari Scipio, Justin Hines, and Kelly Price each contributed to the scoring.
