Wilson outlasted Hartsville in a highly anticipated top-10 boys basketball matchup last night at Hartsville, pulling away for a 63–56 victory.
Hartsville came out strong defensively, taking a 9–5 lead after the first quarter and carrying momentum into halftime with a narrow 26–25 advantage. Wilson turned the game in the third quarter, however, using a strong surge to outscore Hartsville 21–12 and take control of the contest. The visitors maintained that edge down the stretch despite Hartsville’s continued fight.
Kayson Dawson led Hartsville with a game-high 24 points, while Tristian Spann added 17 in the loss.
The Foxes are back at it Friday at Lower Richland.
